about

Originally released as one of the first singles (along with Doesn't Really Matter), the album version of this song was updated and remastered.

This song also contains the lyric that contains the album's title, "I Still Find Hope."

lyrics

I want to be remembered
For the grace that I gave
In a time when nobody knew
How to love their neighbor
I want to be forgotten
It is not about my name
But about all that may remain
After all the labor

The wild wolves are coming
To tear apart all that you hold dear
But if you hold on my dear
Better days are coming
See I've had my back broken, my heart torn open
My words turned back against me
Sleepless nights where I knew
That I would not see the end

I fell in love with the world I found
When I opened up my eyes
Truth be told I was not any worse for wear
And I don't know how I still find hope
But it's a gift that I'll gladly take
It reminds me that there's still love left
For you and I
